The International Quality Control System of the E.T.S. de Ingeniería Agronómica, Alimentaria y de Biosistemas (SGIC-ETSIAAB-UPM), whose scope covers all the degrees that are taught at the levels of Bachelor, Master and Doctorate, is responsible for ensuring the maximum quality in all degrees of the E.T.S. de Ingeniería Agronómica, Alimentaria y de Biosistemas (ETSIAAB) of the UPM. The Academic Committee of the Master Degree in Computational Biology (CAMBIC) is responsible for guaranteeing the quality of the Program, implementing the processes identified in the framework of the SGIC-ETSIAAB-UPM.
The Quality Bureau of the ETSIAAB is responsible for the Internal Quality Control System (SGIC), whose scope of application is all the study plans and degrees of the Center.
It is composed by a Management Committee, which includes the Director of the Center, the Deputy Director with responsibility for Academic Planning, the Deputy Director with responsibility for Quality matters, with the support of quality technicians, who are members of the Administration and Services Staff (PAS) of the Center.
In addition, the Quality Committee of the Center also intervenes. This committee is formed by the members of the Management Committee, the Deputy Directors responsible for the Postgraduate and Doctorate programs, the Department Directors, a support technician of the Quality Unit who will act as Secretary, a representative of the PAS designated by the Director of the School the Delegate of the Center and a quality technician of the VEOC of the UPM, as an external agent. The comittee will meet at least once a semester and minutes of the meetings will be taken.
The Academic Committee of the Master Degree in Computational Biology (CAMBIC) is responsible for guaranteeing the quality of the Program, implementing the processes identified in the framework of the Internal Quality Control System of the ETSIAAB (SGIC-ETSIAAB-UPM), whose scope covers all the degrees at the levels of Bachelor, Master and Doctorate.
Other relevant processes that affect the MBC, and are executed by the CAMBIC, are the following: the "Selection and Admission of Students (profiles)" (PR/CL/007), hosting actions and the process of "Student Guidance and Support Actions" (PR/CL/002).
The SGIC-ETSIAAB includes the process of "Title Management" (PR/ES/002), "Subprocess of Extinction of Official Titles" (SUBPR/ES/02-04), which includes the procedure to be followed and the definition of criteria about the extinction of curricula in the UPM approved in the Governing Council and it would be applicable at the time of the extinction of the MBC.
Results and reports
The Center carries out different studies, among them the ones referred to the surveys made to the students about the quality of the teaching. On the other hand, the Academic Observatory of the UPM carries out studies on demand about work insertion and satisfaction of the interest groups.
